Time for a second post on our weekend in London, featuring our second day in the city. As I mentioned in my first post, we didn't have a clear itinerary of what to do and see on every day, but there were some shops we wanted to check out (Dr. Martens specifically), so after a short underground trip + some walking, we found ourselves on Carnaby street, which ended up being one of my favourite parts of the whole London trip. Definitely the place where you can get a whiff of the swinging sixties, with little Mod stores offering bright tailored suits, but also an abundance of trendy new places to check out!

The Liberty London department store is here as well, and it is fully worth a visit even if you'll just be browsing instead of buying any of its luxury goods. The building was founded in 1875, and shopping here is like going to a mall, Game of Thrones style. Because it's an old building, you know. Extremely cool.

Of course, Carnaby st on a Saturday afternoon isn't exactly calm, but the stores never felt overly crowded. After some shopping, we felt it was time for a bite, and we stumbled upon Kingly Court which seems to be a bit of a hidden gem filled with trendy restaurants and cute stores. Since I am a sucker for any type of recipe that features eggs (did you know that about me? you do now!), I dragged my boyfriend over to The Good Egg, which was a very happy discovery indeed! Israeli inspired cuisine, lots of vegetarian and vegan options, and exceedingly delicious. Also, very fast service despite the crowds. If you are a fan of modern Mediterranean cooking, pickled veggies and/or eggs, get your butt over here. Kingly Court itself  is very fun as well, great atmosphere and an outdoors feel despite indoors (and rain-free, not a bad thing to have in London).

When your boyfriend keeps photobombing you.
After an afternoon discovering the Carnaby region, we made our way back to the apartment to prepare for !HAMILTON! aka the reason why we visited London in the first place. Yes, I am a musical theater geek, and Hamilton has been an obsession of mine for the past two years. My sister and I share this passion, strongly relating to Hamilton's self-made-man message, and being able to see the show in person was a completely unreal, emotional experience. The Victoria Palace Theatre was the perfect context to enjoy the show, brimming with old world elegance. No regrets! Especially since our seats were so amazing. Would do it all over again.
