What happens when a good hair day magically coincides with a good outfit day? Blog magic, that's what! Everything here is working for me, and I love how the combination of the white blouse (Zara sales, marked down to €10 from €40!) with the camel skirt paves the way for spring. It's still way too cold to get those pastels, florals and light jackets out, but it feels good to dress in some lighter shades. Every year around February and March, I get so very sick of my fall/winter wardrobe and I start yearning for those rays of sunshine that make you feel like spring is just around the corner. We're definitely not there yet, but this outfit makes me feel like we are.

Another cool thing: I bought these boots because I loved their fit (straight through the leg rather than tapering towards the ankle) and the medium heel height, but the leg was way too wide for my leg. I took them to the cobbler (More than Soles & Keys in the center of Antwerp) and asked them to take in the leg for me, and this is the end result! I couldn't be happier with how well it worked. For reference, this is what the boots used to look like:

having boots taken in by cobbler

They managed to take in the boots quite a bit, and now they're perfect for me. I paid the cobbler €48, and with the boots being on sale (marked down to €93 from €150) I ended up paying less for the boots including the alterations than they were worth full price, so I'm pretty stoked! Sometimes it's really worth it to invest in the perfect basics for your wardrobe because I just know these boots will always work with my style, even if fashion changes.

I hope your Monday was good - at the least, you live to fight another (Mon)day!
